EXCELLENT CORROSION RESILIENCE

The most common reason a chainset needs to be replaced is because of seizure due to corrosion. Hiab chains for MOFFETT feature a special coating that guarantees 1000 hours resistance in 5% neutral salt spray test (ISO3768/ASTM 8117).

The coating involves a four-stage process where leaf chain links are coated before and after the chain is assembled. Tests show that the Hiab original lead chains stay rust-free even after 1000 hours, which in normal conditions is equivalent of 5 years without rust.
